Proposal Writer
Compensation: 80K (negotiable)
Location: Virginia Beach, VA
The Proposal Writer located in Virginia Beach, VA prepares business development materials, including proposals, white papers, capability and qualification statements, and presentations. Candidates will be working closely with proposal team members including executives, sales, marketing, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders to write, review and edit materials.
Detail Description: All candidates must have experience writing, reviewing and editing materials for customer proposals, primarily for the Department of Defense. Proposal writers must have prior experience with technical, management and past performance proposals, white papers and other technical documentation. Candidates must have a strong ability to work with a technical writer and must be able to understand a good life cycle proposal process. Proposal writers will assist in establishing and implementing publishing standards compliance. Candidates must be able to research and pull out relevant information from previous proposals.
This position is a permanent job opportunity and is paying 80K, but is negotiable.
Detail Qualifications: Candidates must have 5+ years of federal government proposal writing experience, specifically Department of Defense (DoD), understanding of US Government proposal processes - cradle to grave. Experience with SPAWAR is a plus. Candidates should be proficient in MS Office, and must be knowledgeable in MS SharePoint.

Job Description:
The Proposal Manager will spearhead, manage and direct all with regard to the Bid, RFP / RFI and Proposal activities for government business. Will manage the cross functional proposal team with regard to the including sales, marketing and engineering. Will set up and lead customer technical reviews and seminars. Will provide financials, proposal text, SOW's, etc.
Qualifications:
· Candidates must have a 4 year Bachelor's degree with BSEE or MSEE preferred.
· 5+ years in government RFP / Bids / Proposal management.
· 5+ years experience with radio communications systems.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Strong presentation skills.
· Strong analytical and strategic skills
· Experience leading teams through the bid and proposal process.
