Board Member News
Several APMP Central Texas members earned APMP foundation level certification this year. Congratulations to Amy McGeady, Michelle Petty, and Anthony Thompson.

Amy McGeady began a 2-year term (2009-2010) on the APMP International Board of Directors. She is serving as the Regional Chair for the Central Region. In this role, Amy acts as a liaison between the Central Texas, Houston, Lone Star, and Greater Midwest chapters and the board of directors. She helps set APMP policy and communicate new initiatives with the Central Region.

Amy was also a presenter at the APMP National Conference. Her topic, “The Art of the Question,” addressed how to ask good, strategic questions during the procurement process. Several Central Texas chapter members attended, and provided great feedback and moral support. (By the way, Amy was the only presenter from our region – thanks for representing us well, Amy!)

Julie Wickert and Martha Hallman participated in the Network in Austin Membership Organization Leadership Series that helps leaders collaborate across organizations to share strategy, cost-savings, and resources.
